FORENSIC SCIENCE DAY - SOLD OUT We will be leaving from the Omni Hotel by 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 10th, or you can meet at the Crime Lab.
California Forensic Science Institute (CFSI) and the Crime Lab Project (CLP) in cooperation with the lab and the campus will provide expert speakers and programming for the day, as well as facilities, handouts, and A/V equipment. This will be a 6-8 hour event and will include a tour of the Hertzberg-Davis Forensic Science Center on the CSU Los Angeles campus. This lab serves the LAPD and the LA Sheriff's Department. Four of the center's five floors house the largest regional "full-service" crime laboratory in the United States, providing state-of-the-art analysis of DNA, vehicles, fingerprints, blood, firearms and other types of evidence. Integrated with campus, the center also includes lecture halls, laboratories (for DNA, microscopy and serology), a library, computer lab and offices for Cal State L.A.'s programs; and serves as home to the CFSI, which offers in-service training, applied research and public education. This will be a full day event on Wednesday, March 10. The cost for this event is $100, and registration is open only to those who have already registered for LCC 2010.
