The Left Coast Crime 2009 Board is pleased to announce details about the Book Awards to be offered in three categories at their Brunch Banquet Ceremony, March 11, 2009, at the Marriott Waikoloa Hotel, Hawaii.

To assist all voting convention registrants to make their selections, eligible books will be posted and updated on this web page.

Awards will be offered, for books published, in English (anywhere), between January 1, 2008 and December 31, 2008 in the following three categories:

THE LEFTY: Funny, humorous, smiling mystery
THE BRUCE ALEXANDER MEMORIAL HISTORICAL MYSTERY: A historical mystery, covering events before 1950
HAWAII 5-0: Law enforcement, police procedural

All book nominations must have the following identifying features:
Name of the Author
Title of the Book
Date of Publication
Award Category

All nominations for the three awards will be accepted until January 3, 2009. Ballots will be mailed to all registered participants by January 15 and must be returned by March 1, 2009. Nominations and Ballots can be emailed to Cheryl@cherylstevenslaw.com or faxed to 510.638.7588.
