Author Speed-Dating takes place on Thursday morning, from 9:00 to 11:00 AM. It's a chance to pitch your book(s) directly to up to 140 potential readers. Here's how the program will work:
Two authors Speed-Date in pairs, rotating through the tables. At each stop, each author has two minutes to pitch the fans. The fans remain at the tables; the authors do all the moving from table to table. Every author will get to speak to all the fans at every table.
It's up to you and your partner how you want to work together. If you're both distributing swag, for example, it sometimes helps for the second author to distribute the swag for the first author while the first is speaking and then switch roles.
Novice speed-daters who respond by the deadline, specifying they are newbies, have priority. The remaining spots are filled on a first-come, first served basis. |
