Pre-Registration Helper
[TUE–WED] Sign up to help place materials in tote bags Tuesday or Wednesday. Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Book Dealer Room Set-up
[WED] Sign up for a shift assisting book dealers as they unload and set-up upon arrival on Wednesday, March 19th. Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Book Dealer Room Doorman
[WED] Sign up for a shift manning the door of the Book Room to remind attendees that the Book Room isn’t yet open to the public. Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Registration Desk Manager
[THUR–SAT] Sign up for a two-hour shift helping Registrar Stan Ulrich and Registration Captain Terry Jacobsen manage the registration desk. Experience prefered! Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Registration Desk Helper
[THUR–FRI morning] Sign up for a two-hour shift handing out registration envelopes and tote bags to arriving attendees. No experience required! Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Information Desk
[THUR–SUN] Sign up for a shift at the information desk: greet attendees, pass out information and maps, answer questions, direct attendees to the sights, shops, and restaurants in Monterey and nearby. This job is most suited for Monterey area residents.

Silent Auction / Hospitality Room Monitor
[THU–SUN] Sign up for a shift monitoring the hospitality room and Silent Auction Items. Responsibilities include keeping an eye on the Silent Auction items and answering questions, making sure that the hotel staff removes trash, the room and tables are kept neat and tidy, and beverages are restocked as needed. Make attendees feel welcome and comfortable. Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Silent Auction Help on Saturday Evening
[SAT] Help our Auction Chair Noemi Levine move the Silent Auction items to the foyer for final bidding during the Cash Bar Cocktail Hour before the Awards Banquet. Noemi will also need help processing the winning bids and distributing items after the Banquet.
Activity Level: Moderate
Program Room Volunteer
[THU–SUN] Sign up for a shift managing a program room. Responsibilities include making sure the hotel staff has picked up trash, holding up signs so the panel moderator knows how much time is left before the end of the program, and escorting the panelists to the signing space after the panel. Written instructions will be provided. Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Book Signing Room Captains: Pat Morin
The Book Signing Room Captains are responsible for overseeing room set-up, collecting signage each day to post, and directing authors, volunteers, and fans.
Book-Signing Room Assistant
[THU–SUN] Sign up for a shift helping the Book Signing Room Captains Pat Morin. Duties include placing signage, greeting and directing authors to their seats, and managing lines to avoid congestion. Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Awards Banquet Volunteer Coordinator: Pat Morin
[SAT] Take responsibility for organizing the Luncheon volunteers placed at the doors and inside helping people find their seats on Saturday, March 22nd (7:30 –9:30 PM). Minimal advance work confirming volunteers by email. Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Awards Banquet Volunteers
[SUN] Work with Awards Banquet Coordinator Kathryn Rybka to welcome people at the doors and help them find their seats at the Awards Banquet on Saturday, March 22nd (7:30 –9:30 PM). Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.

Book Dealer Room Take-down
[SUN] Sign up for a shift assisting book dealers as they tear down and load trucks on Sunday, March 23rd (noon to 5:00 PM). Out-of-town volunteers could easily perform this job.
